Ch 1 Ep 3-A Short Stop

Once everyone is there, the door opens. MM leads them inside. The entire room is made up of white panels. The floor, the ceiling, and the walls. In the middle of a room is a keyboard attached to a monitor. MM goes to it and types a few things in which activates the panels in the room.

The panels eject, revealing the group's original weapons.

MM: "Take your weapons. Go up the stairs the stairs to the Axial Corridor. On the East Wing of the Axial Corrdior is a door to the Control room. Meet me there."

"Just... what is going on?" Phen muttered, still not content with their predicament, nor with MM's sudden familiarity with the place and orders. Still, he went and took his staff and tome.

"I don't know my way around this place that well, I'll follow you." He said to Roy and Ty.

Roy becomes a little suspicious of MM but then realizes his dual blades aren't of any use any more. He says fuck it, takes up Arc's twin sai, and makes his way to the east wing of the Axial Corridor with the aid of the map.

Ty picks up his beast control whistle, muttering about how it's useless with no animals around, and without his gems his fists weren't very reliable. Still muttering, he follows Roy.

The door to the control room:


Beside it is a scanner. MM scanned his watch and led the others into the room.

On the other side of the room was another another staircase. MM led them up this staircase and outside a door. Outside the door was a roof. Upon further investigation one might notice this was the roof they were knocked out at.

In the middle of a roof was a grey hooded figure. He was standing, looking off at the distance with a laptop in one arm. Behind him was pod of some sort.

"For the heroes of old, I am disappointed you have so little intelligence. None of you were able to even open the three other puzzle room doors. It was agonizing to watch." He took off his hood to reveal his old 70ish year old gray neatly trimmed head. "Jeremiah Eldridge, CEO of Heroes, Inc. here at Heroes, Inc." He walked over to behind the pod, and as he did he continued to talk. "You all are barely mentioned in history. You all are more...myths or legends. Movies, comics, books have been made about you. So seeing you appear on my company roof was interesting. I thought that you might just be able to help me solve a problem."  He clicked a button on the pod, and the pod's lid opened, smoke emitting from it.

"But now I'm not so sure. So I suppose I'll have to test their skills at combat. See if that will make up for your lacking I.Q." A body dropped to the ground out of the pod. It was another MM.

"Protoman #2, activate combat mode." The man said, "Now heroes of Azgard, show me your skills in combat."

The MM holding Arc immediately dropped her and jumped to Jeremiah's side, farther and faster than a normal human could jump. It landed on the ground and out of its hands shot a laser blast at the group of heroes.

Spoiler:

Typho looks exasperated. "How come every time we have to fight one of ourselves, it's MM?"
With that, he charges the proto, fists first.

"But I just woke up..." Araphen muttered at the old man's jab on their intelligence. He couldn't really do anything but fight back now, could he?

As a way to vent that frustation, he chanted a bolt of light to attack the phony MM.

Roy spun out of the way.


"IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIIIIIIME!!!"



...He doesn't really know how to use these sais so he just throws one like it's a spear..

The robot held up quite well against their initial attacks. The robot dodged Araphen's bolt of lightning, barely felt Ty's fists, and the sai that was thrown at him barely scratched its shoulder. Fluid and clothing could be seen flying as it nicked the robot's shoulder.

The robot responded in the following way:

"Holy shit!" Typho yelled as he watched the Protoman absolutely wreck Roy. "Even Valorinx couldn't do that!" Growling, he turned back to the machine, throwing a series of punches at it's head.

"Now, that won't do well for us." Araphen frowned, but he had no other option but to keep attacking, he wouldn't be able to get roy back up so quickly from his wounds, so he had to keep going, and cast another bolt at the phony.

MM was still slumped in front of the pod he came out of, but he was coming to. When he did, he saw some man crouching beside him.

"How was your sleep? Have any exciting dreams?"

"I...yeah..."

"Here is your weapon. Let's see you use it." He held in his hand MM's bow and quiver with several arrows. MM eyed the man suspiciously and saw Roy get a knock out punch by a robot that looked similar to himself.

"Take the robot out if you can."

MM stood up and drew his bow and aimed for the robot.

The Protoman wasn't happy with series of punches, another bolt of lightning, and soon the arrow that struck its left shoulder in the back.
