X-Tra Adventures: A Simple Scouting Mission

MM is looking at the map of Metryopolis and he sees a particular spot on the map that seems off.

He goes ask about it to that weapons guy I can't remember his name. He's important though.

The guy says something about that area was edited so no one would ever find it. Apparently the terrain is harsh, strange, and monsters, some ancient, some demonic, and most very dangerous are there.

"Sounds fun."

MM messages the group about doing something hella dangerous with...that technology no one knows how to use. (What is it called again?)

Jay, literally bored out of his mind and needing to let off some steam (and apparently bringing his grammar books along), was happy to go along. Hell, once he heard 'demonic', Jay was in. Anything to help him understand his situation more.

They were dropped off onto an island nearby the location on the map. But...what was strange was that what MM thought was going to be an island....was actually a small planet...floating above a maelstrom.

“What the hell?”

Jay, completely indifferent about the planet above him, starts coloring in his coloring book. starts walking around checking out what this planet's about.

"Yoh MM...I thought we were heading to an island. Is that where we're going?"

Approaching the island they could tell that gravity was pulling them towards it. They soon found themselves in a desert.

“This is really strange.”  Underneath them they could feel the ground shake. MM quickly got out of the way as a giant sand fish attempted to eat both heroes.

After shifting out of the way of the giant fish, Jay checked in to make sure MM was alright. After making sure, Jay launched himself towards the fish's lantern...horn...thing. THE DANGLY THING. He makes a quick slash at it before landing on the other side of the fish.

J was able to slice the creature's appendage on its fore head right off!

MM was so ready to kick some butt. He took out his turbow and flew towards the creature, aiming for the wound J had produced.

The creature attempted to slam into both J and MM. (if it rolls us, it succeeds in hitting us)

Jay, laughing at the fish's miss, swoops in for another attack. Slashing across his torso, his claw glowed a shadowy red as a floating red claw followed his movements and slashed at the fish in it's wound again.

MM used his turbow to go up to the fish's head. He turned off his turbow and while standing on the fish's head, at point blank, he fired an arrow into its wound.

Jay was starting to get confused...was the fish even really fighting them? Keeping vigilant, he kicked himself up again and slashed it in the wound with the Shadow Claw again, using his own blood again as sacrifice for damage.

Jay whistled the 'Bravely Default' field theme as he threw up a lightning orb and jumped inside, charging up some power to finish off the beast in a minute.
