    [Part 3.5]Frostbite

Post by Araphen on Sat Oct 18, 2014 11:56 pm

[This is the section for the RPer Jhereshko]

You quickly wake yourself up, your back hurts and feels burned, suddenly you realize you're been sleeping on snow --that could've been far more dangerous--. You're not sure where you are, but it is stupidly cold.
You notice you're far from alone when the snow stops falling, and you realize there is more than lumps of snow in the ground a few meters in front of you. A green-eyed, pale snake eyes you, it could probably top your height four times in length, and it certainly isn't as cold-blooded as its brethren.

    Spoiler:

    Angel Naga
    HP: 750/750
Hot blooded - This unit can deal twice its die roll as damage, once every five turns.
Poison Fangs - This unit can call for a special attack and poison its target, the poison will deal 10 damage at the start of their phase for two turns. Once every four turns.

Jay shivers from the cold a little, but warms up quickly and focuses on the large snake. Not noticing his friends, he decides to take this on alone. Noticing it's fangs, that poison could be trouble. Taking a step back, he launched himself towards the snake, aiming to claw through his body.

The snake batters around, and dislikes the crazy human attacking it. Immediately it went to launch away the human, whipping it's tail at him.

Jay throws up a lightning orb to regain some stamina from the crazy rest he had, and meditated, planning on his next attack.

The snake enjoyed the opportunity to bite at Jay while he was unaware. Sinking it's teeth into Jay, the venom started to go through his veins. Jay started to feel uneasy in the orb as the poison took effect.

    325/360 - Poisoned

Jay shook off the fangs, but felt the poison holding him back slightly. Trying to stay focused, he clawed through the snake once again, using the gauntlets to amplify his attacks.

The snake, furious with this pathetic attempt, launches head first towards Jay, tearing into his flesh with it's fangs. With anger flowing through it, the snake pulled extra strength to really pull in the damage.

    240/360 - Poisoned - last turn

Jay threw up another lightning orb to meditate, planning on a strong finale to fight off this ridiculous snake. The last bites left noticeable holes in his torso, but he didn't let that stop his demonic adrenaline.

    [Charging]

    330/750

The snake continued rushing at Jay, continuing to bite at him and hope to kill the silly human.

    190/360

Jay's eyes went deeply red as the lightning orb dissipates. His arms had a dark aura as a slight bell was heard in the distance. Jay's spirit left, tearing up at the snake. Jay's Full Demon Forme triggered, his black skin and hair glowing, and his red symbols on his fur glowing. In an instant, he vanished through the snake. As the snake turned around, it's life was at an end, as the vanish did enough damage to finish it.

    [DEATH TOLL] {DING DONG}
    [-0SP, -189 HP]
    [189 DAMAGE]

    [NEGATIVE POWER]
    [-4SP, 360 - 1 = 359 DAMAGE]

    [548 DAMAGE TOTAL]
    [330 - 548 = I don't wanna get my calculator but like negative]

Jay grabbed a light winter coat from his giant bag, and pulled up the hood. Finding out where his friends are is now the highest priority. He wasn't going to lose them again.

    The cold sure is cold.

The snow clouds your sight range, maybe you should keep walking.

Quickly looting the snake for anything useful, Jay bundled up his jacket, found the direction with the most landmarks from what he could tell, and started walking that way. Trying to trigger his demon eyes, it did little good as he tried to push forward.

... You don't find anything of use in the snake's carcass, you just make more of a mess with its blood instead, ew.

Continuing walking through the landmarks you see, you notice further ahead there's considerably less and less snow, until it reaches a steep end as you look down to a valley. A barren valley, but still.

You consider your chances, you could turn another way, or jump down with your power of (somehow) flight.

Jay shivers a bit, looking down again towards the valley. Checking to make sure there isn't a terrible gust or anything similar that would prevent his descent, he jumps and triggers his flight (which is through demonic power and shouldn't be sassed about coz it's awesome), flipping before landing on the ground, taking a look at his new surroundings. He takes a vivid look, looking first for life down here, then for openings.

The valley is much darker than the mountain you descended from, you can barely make out the landscape around you as you land thanks to faint rays of light, as you look around, you see traces of a battle, but it's hard to discern anything else, and there's definitely no sound of battle.

You consider your options. In this darkness, it is easy to get lost, and you could go any path right now, the area seems somewhat empty.

Jay, taking in what surroundings he could muster, walks towards the different traces of battle, trying to paint a picture as to what happened. After figuring out what he could, he levitated again, and started heading towards where he determined the battle to be. He left small orbs of energy on the walls to note where he's been.

As you examine the traces, you conclude some sort of heat was used in the battle, some of the rocks are dented in unnatural ways, and they're warm to the touch. Levitating, you bring yourself to follow the few traces you manage until you see a silhouette over the distance. You feel it's familiar, and as soon as your eyes can make some color out of it, your suspicions are proven right --it's Roy! Or, well, Vriz, or also Roy, you know.

-*-Vrizzy can now post in this thread-*-

That is not the only major event in the few moments you are here --a metallic carcass falls near your position, no doubt surprising. Did it come from... above?

Jay was curious to see anyone in the freezing cold out here, but would not complain about the extra heat and seeing someone he knew. After making sure the carcass wouldn't immediately become a problem, he walked over to Vriz.

"Sup, Vriz? ...The hell are you doing all the way out here?"

After noting that, Jay walked over to the metallic carcass to examine it, being sure to trigger his demon arms to touch the carcass. He charges up energy in case of an emergency.

That metal carcass sure is made of metal, and filled with holes. It's pretty warm to the touch as well.

Another metal carcass falls. You note this one has been melted by some kind of lava *very* recently.

Jay has accepted the metallic properties, and viewed the holes. After the second carcass fell, noting the lava, he looked up, trying to figure out where these things were falling from. He flew up a bit to see a bit closer what was happening.

Looking up, you notice brief lights emanating in the sky. You can make out some other mechanic species fighting each other, one humanoid, one serpentine.
