Above ground, bright skies, the sound of two people kissing, and morning traffic.

"Will I see you after work Kiyo?"
"Yes. As long as I don't work overtime. Have a good day at your own job: Rosalyn." Smiling, the two kissed one more time before they parted for their own ways.

On his work commute via bus, Kiyo received a text with a single picture:

Damn. I suppose it's time. He took the bus to the next stop...and called a friend.

"Hey Yo. Did you get the message? You ready for this mission? To assassinate Jhereshko, the half-demon?"

Tenk grunts into the phone.

"The half-demon...This is going to be an interesting bout, isn't it? I'm as ready as I'm going to be. You?"

"Tch. If we can defeat a half demon with the weapons our leaders say they have, perhaps we can defeat full-fledged demons as well. Anyways, I'll see you at the rally. The abandoned Bakery on the east side of town. Not far from that old castle that appeared."

Overwhelming smell of flour, lack of light, and high tension.

"Our target is the Half-Demon J. With these Advanced Armored Units: *There is an unveiling of cloth and several large pieces of machinery is then adored by a crowd*

"Our volunteers to test these units: Kiyomaro Kakazuki, Tenk Wilhelm-Colombi-The Thirty Second-holla-holla...moving on, Jayne Kilreem, and Declan Blake. They have been tested, and they have proven themselves worthy, unknown to them, towards this worthy and noble cause. Knowing this, will you still accept!?"

--(Obviously yes.)) Kiyo saluted. As most likely Tenk.

"Very good!" A group of men in masks, who are the supposed leaders were the ones conducting the rally. The one up front continued talking, "Very well. J has been targeted flying around Heroes Inc. We will at first attempt to get his attention as an adoring civilian, then bring him to the underground subway of Pkxhoi which is nearby.

This will be the job of Declan Blake. The one deemed most apt for this mission. Everyone else will be on standby. As there are only forty of us. If this fails. We'd like hope to re-form."

"Declan Blake, go get J's attention as he flies around the Heroes Inc. Building."

"Everyone else, assist in the movement of the machinery. There are tunnels below the bakery that lead to the Pkxhoi Abandoned Subway. Move out!"

Declan Blake stood up, grinding the butt of his cigarette into the ground.
"Well, fuck." Declan said, getting the job of drawing a flying demon underground. Declan, a man known for being unpersonable and rude, more inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. Sighing, he went outside, wondering how the fuck he was going to get J down. Looking up annoyedly at the flying half-demon, Declan thinks of what to do. Coming up with an idea, he took a deep breath and bellowed up "Help, a demon is attacking my daughter!"

Jay, barely picking up on the sound, looked down to see a man yelling up to him. Looking more pissed than concerned, Jay was confused. About as confused as why he's been flying in circles for hours. He decides to hover down and investigate. He comes up to the stranger, landing and running over.

"What's up?"

"My daughter's being attacked." Declan said, looking underwhelmingly panicked, as he takes out a cigarette and lights it. "And your fanclub's having a meeting a block over, and will surely be the next target. You should come help. They're down this way." Declan said, walking towards the station.

Jay was about to dart following the man until he mentioned the fan club. Jay stopped in his tracks, looking curious at the man.

"Fan club? Considering I wasn't really part of the crew before, and nowadays I'm just a body shield...somewhat, I don't think that's a truth. What are you hiding from me?"

Jay gets into the stranger's face, flicking his left arm Demon.

Declan looks straight into the half-demons eyes as it attempts to threaten him, and blows a mouthful of smoke in his face.
"You've got the whole half-demon thing going on. Fangirls eat that shit up. Come on, we're almost there." Declan says, turning around and continuing on his way.

"Now." A voice below ground whispered.

Can't believe Declan's taking the fall for this one. Kiyo, inside his AUU along with the others, they attacked the foundation of the tunnel.

The ground below Declan and J collapsed.

Jay, still trying to figure out the stranger's reply, notices the ground start destroying itself underneath him. Quickly triggering his demon arms, he attempts to push against the ground and fly. He misses his chance to launch himself though, and only just avoids landing on the rubble beneath by hovering over it.

Declan hears a rumble, and sees the ground start to shake. Eyes widening slightly, he dives to a nearby lamppost, crawling up, hoping it wouldn't get sucked down, and the ground started collapsing. It was barely on the edge of the pit, and leaned over it, leaving him hanging over the pit. Exhaling out of the sound of his mouth, careful not to lose his cigarette, Declan looks around at the situation, he sees the half-demon floating a ways below him. "Hey buddy, mind helping me here? My dear innocent daughter would never make it as an orphan."

Jay looks up and notices the stranger about to fall into the pit. Weighing his options, he chuckles and flies out of the pit and away...and comes back about ten seconds later to grab the guy and pull him out of the pit. Landing him outside of the pit, Jay looks back at him.

"You seem less shocked from that than I would think you would be...You don't seem like a regular civvie. You're getting more and more peculiar here..."

"You haven't really been out into the city often, have you?" Declan says, still retaining his bored voice. "This kind of shit happens all the time. We've got demons, soldiers, dudes in armor, you guys. Stuff blows up, collapses, or gets torn in half all the time." He says, grinding the butt of his cigarette into J's arm to put it out, before putting a new one in. "Now come on, just a bit farther."

Jay agrees to himself that this city is quite the fucked up place...Actually, why does he work here? Does he get paid for this shit?

...shaking his inner thoughts away with the cigarette butt being ground into his arm, he shakes his head and prepares for anything. His trust was little at this point, and curiosity was driving him more than this stranger.

Declan takes a drag of his cigarette and goes to the sandwich shop a block down.

Jay avoids the first grapple claw, but collapses at the second one. Hitting his demon side, Jay is paralyzed and can't even attempt to block the hard hit that was thrown his way. The bullets sink in.

MM gets behind the line of some dood who smells terribly of cigs at his favorite sandwich store. ugh. hate the smell of cigarettes.

Tenk laughs at the helplessness of the half demon

"This guy's our opponent? THIS guy? Bahaha!"

He swings his Guns around to shoot at the helpless fool.

Declan gets his sandwich, black forest ham and Monterrey jack cheese on sourdough. He turns around with his sandwich to see a blonde guy looking at him with a look of disgust on his face.
"Hey." Declan says, blowing smoke out of his mouth towards him.

Kiyo watched in amazement as his comrades did a fantastic display of these new AUU's.

"Bring Him deeper into the tunnels. Let's collapse the tunnel to prevent reinforcements!" Kiyo called out the orders to the others as he figured they needed a leader in this moment.

"Yeah, I could." Declan says, taking a bite of his sandwich. "But I don't really see why I shouldn't. I just got a job well done, I feel like celebrating." With that, he sits down on a bench, blowing smoke out. Strictly speaking, he wasn't supposed to smoke in there, but he paid the owner several hundred dollars to do so. He enjoyed blowing smoke at people.
